Foundation

The foundation of your flooring comprises multiple base layers of PVC, which provide structural support and thickness. PERFORMA+ Vinyl offers a robust vinyl thickness of 5mm. These base layers form the core of your tile or plank to maintain balance within the product. The bottom layer, known as the Balancing Layer, contains a higher concentration of PVC resin and/or plasticizer. This layer ensures compatibility between the top layer (Wear Layer) and the underlying base layers. Additionally, a layer of Fiber Glass is incorporated between the PVC layers to enhance dimensional stability, promoting a durable and reliable flooring solution.

Design Layer

These liquid coatings, composed of urethane, are carefully applied and then cured using ultraviolet light, forming a robust protective barrier for your flooring. The coatings not only extend the overall lifespan of the wear layer but also enhance its ability to resist everyday scuffs and scratches. As an added advantage, ZEN8 LVT products feature our most advanced coating yet – Durashield. Using a double coating technique, Durashield incorporates the strength of our urethane protectant with the addition of premium components such as AOC Aluminum Oxide Crystals. These particles are infused within the urethane, providing exceptional resistance to wear and tear, resulting in one of the most outstanding finishes in the industry.
